Gallery Director, Tamara Thompson's interest in art began as a young child and continued through adolescence while attending formal art classes at the Lane School of Art. Tamara's influences came from watching her father draw architectural sketches. She later, studied fine art and curating at Hampton University and earned a BFA degree in Graphic Design from The Atlanta College of Art in 1997. Over several years, she has worked as a graphic designer for various companies and organizations such as Bellsouth, Rich's and New Birth Missionary Baptist Church.

Her strong sense of color and love of art transcends any medium she chooses to work in whether it is graphic, web or frame design. Tamara's niche is the Spence Art Gallery where her passion and appreciation for fine art is experienced by the surrounding community.
