For more than 30 years, Texas native, Cecil Bernard has painted professionally and has become well known as an "artist to the stars". His paintings can be found in many respected collections such as, Wynton Marsalis, Magic Johnson and Steve Harvey. There is a strong following for his original jazz and abstract paintings. However, his portfolio also includes religious and nature renderings. He uses oils, acrylics, pencil, pastels, ink & watercolors.

Bernard prefers to work with acrylics on canvas, burlap or board. Over ninety percent of Bernard's paintings are created without the use of a brush. He paints with cardboard, rags and his hands.
